The announcement was made by Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang at the Vietnam-Mongolia Business Forum on Wednesday, the eve of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries on Thursday.

Starting on December 15, 2023, Vietjet will begin operating two weekly round-trip flights between Ulaanbaatar and Nha Trang, with each flight taking roughly five and a half hours.

The airline said it hoped the route would serve the needs of Mongolians and foreign visitors to Nha Trang.

Nha Trang is famous for its beautiful climate, miles of sandy beaches, and clear waters.

Cultural and historical sites, as well as breathtaking natural scenery and expansive meadows, draw visitors to Ulaanbaatar, the political and economic heart of Mongolia.
