THE UPPER MEKONG RIVER (MY THO – BEN TRE FULL DAY TRIP)

7:30–7:45: Hotel pickup

You drive via Trung Luong which is a picturesque rural district reached by a one-and-a-half-hour bus ride through rice fields on National Highway 1.

After seeing Vinh Trang pagoda, cruise the Tien River to see Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise islands. Boats cross the Tien River fish rafts at the Rach Mieu Bridge. Stroll down the village road, explore the orchard, and enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea to "Southern Vietnamese folk music" by residents.

Hand-rowing a Tan Thach canal sampan. Visit the coconut candy mill and take a hand-rowed sampan ride along the little canal under water coconut trees.

Lunch at local restaurant, then the motorboat back to the ship. Meet and return to Ho Chi Minh City by bus. This journey gives you a fascinating look at Mekong Delta living, and you'll leave with great memories.
