HO CHI MINH – VUNG TAU

After breakfast, we take one and half hour to Cu Chi, visit the tunnels system of more than 200km in length which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the war against American troops. Return to Ho Chi Minh for lunch. After lunch, transfer to Vung Tau, situated 125km southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It is a famous beach resort with long white sandy beaches and warm water whole year round. We have dinner at local restaurant.

After breakfast, take Vung Tau city tour including Christ Hill (St. Jacque Janerio), 18 meters high Goddess of Mercy, Thuy Van beach and Whale Temple dedicated to whales considered as the rescuing gods for Vietnamese fisherman in the east sea. Lunch at local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Continue your visit to the Presidential Palace, lacquer ware factory and handicraft center and Ben Thanh market for shopping. We have dinner at local restaurant.

Breakfast in hotel. Pick at hotel lobby and transfer to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam’s larg-est rice bowl. On arrival in My Tho, we em-bark on a boat navigating around the intricate small canals in the delta region, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting excursion will pass the lush green vegetation before arriving at the famous Uni-corn Island. Here we will taste honey tea and coconut candy. Then you can enjoy local seasonal fruit and listening to local folklore singing. Take a sampan ride through mangroves and return to jetty. Head back to the city for shopping at Ben Thanh Market and then transfer back to hotel.
