At 07:30: pick up at hotel and head for City tour. Start to visit Independence Palace, also known as Reunification Palace, in the morning. It was built on the site of Norodom Palace. Ho Chi Minh City's Independence Palace was designed by Ngo Viet Thu. Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office to view more French Colonial architecture. Next is the War Remnants Museum, which contains a huge Indochina war display.
Lunch at local restaurant.
The bus ride to Cu Chi tunnel takes 1.5 hours. Before touring the tunnels, you will receive a brief explanation and see a movie about how the tunnels were built and how individuals survived the war. Next, explore the remaining area and tunnel systems, which include special living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, and martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers to help those living in the tunnels meet their basic needs. The maze-like tunnels also have several secret trap doors and hazardous traps for wartime security. Special wartime tea and cassava will follow.
Break time to rest or practice real shooting guns.
Return to Saigon. Trip ends.
