Itinerary

DAY 0: HANOI – HA GIANG

At 15:30, you'll be picked up from your Old Quarter hotel or the meeting point at the Opera House and taken to Ha Giang city.

At 23:00PM, you will arrive at Mai Homestay in Ha Giang. Spend the night at Mai Homestay for free.

If you want a single room at the Friend Hotel (2-star hotel), you have to pay an extra 24 USD per night.

Day 1: HA GIANG – BAC ME – CAO BANH – THA VILLAGE – HA THANH (B/L/D)

From Ha Giang town, you go to Bac Me, a beautiful Tay village, in the morning. From there, you take buffalo trails up the mountain to Cao Banh. From the top of the mountain, you can see Ha Giang City and the small towns that surround it. On top is a town of the Dao, one of Vietnam's ethnic minorities, where you can take beautiful pictures of rice fields, mountains, and Dao girls dressed in their traditional clothes.After lunch, you will walk through the woods on trails to another Tay town. If it's a hot day, you can swim in the waterfall and then spend the night next to it in a native Tay stilt house. Enjoy local food for dinner, talk with your family, and drink corn liquor to have a fun night.

Day 2: HA THANH - BAC ME TOWN - LA VILLAGE (B/L/D).

You can leave the home-stay after breakfast. You'll walk for about three hours to get to another Tay town. From there, you'll take a motorcycle to the Bac Me district, where you can continue to enjoy the beauty of the jungle and rice fields. On the way, you will stop at a small restaurant for lunch. After lunch, keep going to La village, which is a beautiful and peaceful Tay town. It is a village in Ha Giang where people still live in stilt houses, wear traditional clothes, and speak their own language. It is a very typical village, with no signs of tourism growth. Explore the village on foot before dinner. Spend the night there with Tay's family.

Day 3: MEO VAC – DONG VAN (B/L/D)

You'll leave the home stay after breakfast. To get to the center of Dong Van karst plateau geopark, you need a motorbike. Visit some white H'mong towns along the way. Take a break in the town of Meo Vac before taking a motorbike over the Ma Pi Leng pass to get to Dong Van. The most beautiful pass in Vietnam, stunning scenery, and Southeast Asia's deepest valley. Spend one night in the old part of Dong Van.

Day 4: DONG VAN – YEN MINH – NAM DAM VILLAGE (B/L/D)

After breakfast, it will take you about 3 hours to walk to the towns around Dong Van rocky highland. Then go back to Dong Van town and take a motorbike to Quan Ba town through Yen Minh town. On the way, you can stop at some white H'mong villages, the family house of the Vuongs (the H'mong King palace), and some very beautiful mountain scenery. Around 6 o'clock, you'll reach Nam Dam, a beautiful Dao town with a long history. Enjoy local food for dinner, talk with your family, and drink corn liquor to have a fun night.

Day 5: NAM DAM VILLAGE – QUAN BA – HA GIANG CITY – HANOI (B/L)

After breakfast, you'll have a half-day walk around Nam Dam village, which is a beautiful place where the Dao people live in their traditional way. In the afternoon, take a motorbike to the quiet town of Tam Son (Quan Ba), where you can see the fairy twin mountains, Lung Khuy cave, which is one of the most beautiful caves in Ha Giang, Bac sum pass, and more. After going back to Ha Giang City, you could stay there for one more night and then take a sleeping bus to Ha Noi at 4 p.m. to get to the Old Quarter at 11 p.m.
