8.15 am: Start our trip We'll take you on a ride up a hill on the first day to Bac Sum Pass, which is at the top of a 20-step snake road. From there, you can see a panoramic view of the landscape and the valley, where you can see the hidden towns of ethnic minority groups.
Then, our tour took us up to The Heaven Gate in Tam Son, which is more than 1,200 meters above sea level and has a beautiful view of the limestone mountains and a huge, deep valley.
We keep riding to the Twins Hill view point and a clay house town of Nam Dam. In this village, all of the people who live there are from the Dao ethnic minority. You can learn about their culture and how their houses are built by taking a walk around the village. We will spend about 2.5 hours in this village, where you can also have lunch cooked by a local family.
After lunch, we'll keep riding up and down to see a beautiful valley and village. From there, we'll get a great view of a spectacular mountain, river, or lake. There's no other way to see it like this when you join our Ha Giang Motorbike Tours.
We keep going down to the village, where we'll show you how a family makes handicrafts and weaves clothes. Then, we ride our motorbikes along the river to Yen Minh, where we'll spend the night. On the way, we take many back roads that tourists don't know about, so we can see the most beautiful scenery and some hidden villages. We'll stop at the top of the loop road to look out over the valley. When we get to Yen Minh Town, we'll stay at a homestay and have dinner there.
After breakfast, we'll go on another tour. This time, it will take our riders about an hour to drive to Tham Ma Road with its nine steps, where we'll stop for a great photo. Then, we'll ride our motorbikes up to Pao's house, where you'll learn a lot of history and stories about the area. Then, we'll ride up to Lung Cu Flag Pole, where you can see the border between Vietnam and Cambodia. From the flagpole or lookout point, you can see a beautiful and large area. Then, if we have time, we'll go to a town called Lo Lo Chai, where a small ethnic minority called Lo Lo lives. We'll see their traditional clay houses and have lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Then we keep riding to Dong Van Town and stop for coffee in the old area, where you can also learn about the town's traditions and history.
When the weather is clearer in the afternoon, around 2:00, we will ride to Ma Pi Leng pass. From there, you will be able to see the deepest valley, which is the most beautiful and spectacular mountain view in all of Vietnam. Between the rocks, you can see a unique river called Nho Que. We will stop at panorama view to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the view.
In the late afternoon, we'll take a car to Meo Vac, where we'll spend the night in a complex of Hmong-style homes and eat dinner there.
After breakfast, you check out of your room and the guide and driver take you on a new day to see many different sights, such as a lake for fishing, rice terraced fields, hiking in the towns of Dao and Tay ethnic minority people, etc.
We will be driving and hiking today to get some great pictures. In the late afternoon, you'll stay with a local family at a homestay and learn about the history and traditions of people who have lived here for hundreds of years. Tonight will stay overnight at Du Gia village and have dinner with homestay family (today if we come early in summer time we will go to swing at the waterfall).
