There is a very special visit at dawn to see the monks gathering alms. This is for people who get up early. As the sun rises, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot through the streets of Luang Prabang to collect gifts from the people who live there. Go back to the hotel and eat breakfast there.
After breakfast, you'll be taken from the hotel to the famous old town, where the tour starts at the fresh market. Walk with the guide through rows of stalls that sell everything from fresh food to dishes from the area. Next, go to what used to be the Royal Palace. This site is now the home of the National Museum. It is full of art, artifacts, and jewels that show some of the country's past and rich culture. After that, the tour of Luang Prabang will continue by going to some of the most important sites in the city. Start at Wat Visoun, where the famous "watermelon" stupa is, and then go to Wat Aham, which has an altar for the two guardian spirits of Luang Prabang. This afternoon, go to Ock Pop Tok to learn more about textiles in Laos, such as their past, how they are made, and what they mean to the culture. Overnight in Luang Prabang

After breakfast at the hotel, leave for the Kuang Si Waterfalls from Luang Prabang. When you get to Kuang Si Waterfall, take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Around the falls are thick jungle and woods that are great for walking through. Those who are feeling brave can walk up a steep path to the top of the falls, where they can see beautiful views. You can also swim in the pools at the base of the waterfalls (please dress properly). On the way back, you can stop at the Free the Bears refuge, which is home to 23 Asiatic bears saved from poachers. You can also go to the unique Lao Buffalo Dairy Farm, which is a social business that gives back to the community and environment while making delicious cheese that is good for the environment. Even though the buffalo are the main attraction, there are also funny pigs, chickens, and rabbits that are just as much fun for kids and adults alike to play with. Before leaving the Buffaloes and the team, have some fresh ice cream at the cafe. (The store is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Monday through Sunday.)
Back at the hotel, you can relax and spend the night in Luang Prabang.
