OvationNetwork, a network of luxury travel professionals, has named Ha Long Bay as one of 24 sites across the world to visit in 2024.

New York-based travel network OvationNetwork has noticed an increase in demand for trips in the year 2024. According to Forbes, this increase can be attributed to a growing demand for unique, off-the-beaten-path vacations.

Ha Long Bay is the only Vietnamese destination on their exclusive list shared with Forbes, which features their top 24 travel recommendations for 2024.

Ha Long Bay is located about two hours east of Hanoi, in the Gulf of Tonkin, and features numerous limestone karsts and islets rising from the water.

March and April, and September through November, are peak months for tourism. Climate is mild, precipitation is light, and seas are calm during these times.

Ha Long Bay was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994, and in 2011 it was named one of the world’s seven new natural marvels by a Swiss organization. The area is famously admired for its stunning landscapes and geological features. Kayaking, snorkeling, and junk boat tours are all excellent options for those who want to spend time in nature. Guests may truly feel at one with the bay’s natural beauty on one of these classic boats.

Bai Tu Long, located further north, is a hidden gem that rivals Ha Long Bay in beauty but attracts a fraction of the visitors due to its relative obscurity.

The report by OvationNetwork features a variety of locations, including those in Italy’s Sardinia, South Korea’s Jeju, India’s Goa, Mexico’s Oaxaca, Greece’s Milos, Estonia’s Tallinn, and South Africa’s Franschhoek.
