Flight booking data from travel operator Agoda shows that the central beach city of Da Nang has become the most popular destination for South Korean and Thai tourists.

According to a survey by Agoda that analyzed travel bookings from January 1 to June 30 of this year, Bali, also known as the “island of the Gods,” was the most popular destination for Australian tourists, while Bangkok was a top option for Singaporeans.

Agoda’s country director for Vietnam and Indochina, Vu Ngoc Lam, is thrilled by the growing interest in Vietnam as a premier vacation spot.

Vietnam’s extraordinary ability to please a diverse group of tourists stems from its promise of a genuine cultural immersion. Lam remarked, “It is terrific to see Vietnam’s increasing appeal to visitors from all over the Asia Pacific region reflected in Agoda’s flight booking data.” Vietnam’s cultural tapestry, magnificent scenery, and great hospitality are genuinely captivating.

Da Nang is central Vietnam’s busiest travel hub, and it serves as a gateway to the Hue Imperial Capital, My Son Sanctuary, and Hoi An Town, three of the world’s most renowned cultural heritage sites.

Famous tourist attractions in Da Nang include the Han River and the Golden Bridge, as well as its long, sandy beaches like My Khe.

According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam has welcomed 7.8 million international tourists through August, representing 98% of the year’s 8-million goal.

While 2.27 million tourists came from South Korea, Thailand was also a major source of visitors for Vietnam.
